Description:
Come learn the technique of drawing a portrait in the 19th Century tradition of the French Academy. Ms. Rees will lead you through the process of drawing a portrait in charcoal using the Bargue drawing course of Jeune Femme. We will cover the “Block-in,” learn basic geometries of facial features, value, shading and capturing likeness. Warm-ups will include drawing each other and working from a mirror. A great workshop for those who want to really learn how to draw the portrait.
